This timeless silk shirt was designed by French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent during the 1980s but could conceivably be a bit later, say early 1990s. Made in France, it is crafted from matte silk in vibrant tangerine orange. The label reads “Saint Laurent Rive Gauche”, a reference to Paris’s younger and trendier left bank. Cut to a high neck style, it is collarless. The fabric is gathered around the collar and the cuffs. It is tailored to a wide, straight silhouette; the resulting voluminous, floaty shape giving a romantic feel. The front lapels and cuffs are adorned with gold-tone metal buttons with carved braid detailing, adding to the casually luxurious feel of this piece.

This highly wearable top is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. It has no composition or size labels, so please check the measurements closely as the fabric has no stretch. Due to its loose nature, we believe this would fit a large variety of sizes and these blouses look excellent cinched in with a belt. Our model is a UK 8-10 US 4-6 and 5'9" and this blouse fit her with some room to spare.
