This eye-catching mini-dress is from Valentino’s Resort 2020 collection. Created during Pierpaolo Piccioli’s lauded reign as Creative Director, the Vogue review for this presentation praised Piccioli’s ability to marry “the real with an alluring sense of grandeur”.

Tailored to a boxy, t-shirt style silhouette, the dress has long, wide sleeves which are slightly batwing - playing to the ‘70s feel. Typical of Piccoli's tastes, the blown-up print is vivacious and flamboyant; huge fuchsia and peach roses and sage green leaves are set against a pale ivory background. The roses are detailed with bright blue and yellow pistils in their centres. The dress buttons at the back of the neck with a mother-of-pearl button and fabric loop. The standout detail of this dress is the plumes of knotted electric blue feathers that hang like tassels from the bottom of the skirt, swaying and dancing as the wearer walks and adding drama to the silhouette. The dress is unlined. It has in-seam pockets at the sides.

Presented in excellent condition, this stunning dress has no flaws. It is made from 100% Silk with a pocket lining of 100% Silk. The label states that this is an Italian 42, UK 10, though sizes vary between brands so please check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch but this is a roomy fit and could go up a size depending on fit.
