This distillery was born in 1955 and was one of Japan's smallest in size and outturn. Unfortunately, this distillery has been closed since 2011, however, their sublime whiskies, keep winning award after international award. Karuizawa have released close to 300 single casks at the time of writing and as the demand increases along with their popularity, their availability decreases with collectors scrambling.
