The desired hot water temperature is set within the control range using the valve wheel. The protective cap prevents unintentional changes to the temperature setting. When installing on a boiler/storage tank with an integrated water heater, a gap should be left between the valve and the boiler/storage tank to prevent the valve's function from being impaired by heat radiation.
